A rising force in the underground house scene, Downtown Sai fuses his Myanmar and French roots into a distinctive sound shaped by deep house, groovy minimal, and touches of electro. Based in Barcelona, he is an active presence in the city's creative circuit, having performed at venues and platforms such as La Terrrazza, Les Enfants, Studio Stereo, Bridge_48, The Room Space, and No Alibi Temple.
Sai’s productions are a fusion of groovy, unpredictable basslines, dubby chords, his own vocals, and electro influences, creating a sound that moves fluidly between stripped-back minimal grooves and deeper, more atmospheric territories. His live sets reflect this versatility, allowing him to adapt seamlessly from daytime sessions to late-night dancefloors while maintaining a strong, personal identity.
His latest release arrives on Digital Freedom as an EP, followed by appearances on Happiness Therapy’s Happy House Vol. 8 with “Didn’t See It Coming,” and Musica Cavernicola with the Smoking Banzai EP. With two vinyl releases confirmed for this year, Downtown Sai continues to build momentum both digitally and physically.
On stage, Downtown Sai thrives through fully live performances centered around his latest productions. Using a custom setup and FM synthesis, he crafts evolving, real-time journeys that create an organic and dynamic connection with the crowd.
